จากบทความเดิม "การตั้งค่าสำหรับการพัฒนาโปรแกรมด้วย PHP" ของคุณ overbid เขียนไว้ละเอียดดีทีเดียว โดยส่วนตัวผมได้ลองใช้ Eclipse PDT แล้วชักติดใจ โดยเฉพาะ ถ้าเขียนโปรแกรมแบบ OO แล้วช่วยได้เยอะมากๆ เลยอยากจะมาชวนให้มาลองใช้กัน (ใช้แล้วอาจจะลืม EditPlus ไปเลยก็ได้น้ะ :-)
สำหรับ เพื่อนๆ นักพัฒนา PHP ทั้งหลาย ที่กำลังมองหา เครื่องมือดีๆ อืมม กว่า editplus แล้วก็ dreamweaver แล้วก็ ฟรี ด้วย ตอนนี้ Eclipse สำหรับ PHP ได้ฤกษ์ คลอด อย่างเป็น ทางการสำหรับ เวอร์ชัน 1.0 แล้ว
สำหรับ ฟีเจอร์ใหม่ๆ ในเวอร์ชั่น 1.0 นี้ประกอบด้วย :
* Context-sensitive editors offering capabilities like syntax highlighting, code assist and cold-folding.
* Integration with the Eclipse project model, enabling inspection using File and Project Outline Views and a PHP Explorer View.
* Incremental debugging of PHP code.
* Frameworks and APIs for extending PDT to build PHP-oriented developer tools.
